Hi, my name is… Eric Piejczew
Meet Eric — our Cyber Security Engineer at SysGroup.
What was your very first job?
In a fruit and veg shop in Munich. It was my first experience working abroad and taught me a lot about responsibility, communication, and customer service.
If you could swap jobs with anyone for a day, who would it be?
An aerospace engineer working on rockets or rovers. I’ve always been curious about how something so complex is engineered to work in space.
If you had to give a TED Talk on something random, what would it be?
Curiosity — how constantly wanting to learn and understand how things work can open doors both professionally and personally.
What’s one thing you’re looking forward to learning here?
Deepening my cybersecurity knowledge and learning from other teams to become a more complete engineer.
If you could invent one office perk, what would it be?
A shared exercise break where teams can join in — stretching, walking, or live workouts.
What’s the most exciting part of your role at SysGroup?
Cybersecurity is always changing and evolving. The most exciting part of my role is constantly learning something new.
When you’re not working, how do you like to spend your time?
Creative and technical hobbies — 3D printing and painting tabletop miniatures, tinkering with electronics, coding, and keeping up with podcasts and series.
Best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Trust the process — progress doesn’t always feel obvious at the moment, but consistency pays off over time.
