Meet Wendy — our Company Secretary and General Counsel at SysGroup.

What was your very first job?

Shop assistant in a newsagent — early starts marking up newspapers before delivery.

If you could swap jobs with anyone for a day, who would it be?

An astronaut. I would love to go into space.

If you had to give a TED Talk on something random, what would it be?

You can do and be anything you want — just stay positive and put your mind to it.

What’s one thing you’re looking forward to learning here?

New tooling and its application.

If you could invent one office perk, what would it be?

Take your dog to work.

What’s the most exciting part of your role at SysGroup?

I get a buzz when we’re doing a corporate transaction like an acquisition — knowing the positive impact and benefits it’s going to have.

When you’re not working, how do you like to spend your time?

Outdoor circuit training, yoga, walking my dogs, and drinking wine.

Best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

Never give up and always be honest with yourself and others.
